However, I had a lot of time on my hands and was immersed in my online lectures and projects. Although my midterm project was started in Florence, I had to finish the task at home. I contacted my professor, asked for advice and constructive criticism, and completed all of my work. Thankfully, I brought all of my materials and textbooks home with me when I left Florence, so that I could reference the book along with the videos my professor sent out. For my final project, my professor asked us to draw inspiration from the artwork and the city of Florence. I had gone to the Uffizi Museum days before I left, and had plenty of pictures to reference. I loved looking through the photos to find ideas. Unlike my midterm project, none of my final had been completed when I was still in Italy. I had to do the whole thing at home. Thankfully I had a lot of time to work, receive corrections from my professor, and rework various parts of my project. Although online learning was not ideal and also challenging at times, it made me grateful for the experience I had in Florence. I am also thankful for my teacher’s guidance as well as LdM’s efforts to provide students with education during these challenging times Fashion Design | Prof. Cinzia Cardelli FAS 160 Fashion Illustration FASJOURNAL 64 65 JOURNAL This collection is inspired by the greatest achievements of Walter Albini in fashion history. After many collaborations and collections with well-known designers, Albini put out a very successful and ambitious fashion show in 1970. It revealed the first debut of the loose-fitting shirts for men and women.
